(1). In a series circuit, there is a critical phenomenon often overlooked by industry insiders: when a single cell within a battery pack experiences an Internal Short Circuit (ISC), if the entire circuit remains in a charging or discharging state, the faulty cell will be effectively charged (or driven) by the other cells. This causes the internal short-circuit current to escalate continuously, leading to unpredictable risks.
Our technology addresses this by identifying the ISC and immediately notifying the host system to cut off the series circuit, thereby reducing or eliminating the risk. This method is equally effective for circuits configured with parallel-then-series topologies.
